Actually, B.L.O.G does not stand for at all. It is in fact, the Brasov League Of Gentlemen! It’s a non-agenda Brasov social group formed in 2010 principally as a way to bring busy professional guys together once every 2 weeks to dine & wine in varying places around Brasov. All welcome. If you consider yourself a decent chap, we’ll give you the benefit of the doubt! So, get in touch, & come along. Even if you are just on a random business trip, come along. Its an excellent way to meet other male professionals.
In our midst we have nationalities including Romanian, Polish, Hungarian, Finish, Dutch, Belgian, Irish, English, Scottish, Spanish, Italian, Czech, American, Canadian, Australian, French, German, Welsh & would you believe, an Armenian. I’m pretty sure there are some Israili’s in there posing as other nations too!
2012 will be our most active & exciting year. The new plan is to have one major event per month, controlled by a different member of the group, & one minor member to meat somewhere for a meal as was done throughout 2010 & 2011.
To kick things off, this is the early timetable proposal, which will grow.
Major Events
January 2012 – Friday 20th, 08.00, Skiing in Poiana Brasov, partners, family & friends welcome – we chose a friday because the snow is good there now but the weekend crowds are far from good. by going early ona friday morning, we are assured of empty slopes & great skiing.
February 2012 – Party at a TBD house
March 2012 – Dinner & overnight at a holiday villa in Bran
April 2012 - DIY challenge – renovation of some dormitories in a Psychiatric hospital (Charity event, competing in teams from your own company against other company teams, to renovate by simple painting, numerous rooms in a terribly run-down state mental hospital, vacated of patients I should add.
Other ideas include an overnight trip to Bucharest to see the famous Chinese Sun Circus, camping trip to Transfagarasan & Transalpina,

In between these events, we will meet once per month to dine somewhere of course, as mentioned.
